DIY Dresser to TV Stand

For the past 4-5 months Matthew and I have been searching every garage sale and ad listing to find the perfect dresser for a new TV stand.  I usually come up with the DIY projects and we tackle the project as husband and wife together.  However, this project was Matthew's idea and I am very excited to share it with you today on the blog!

DIY Fall Wood Block Sign

This week on the blog is a DIY fall wood block sign that anyone can make!  It's probably one of the easiest DIY projects I have done and has a very minimal cost.  If you'd like me to make you the sign please let me know!  I'd be happy to put a little bit of fall into your house! :)

$10 DIY Fall Wreath

School started today for Matthew and I's Alma-Mater (GO PANTHERS!) and as school starts I always get into the fall mood.  The start of school means football games, cooler weather and the smell of some great tailgating food!  Although this week doesn't feel like the start of fall (90+ all week...ew!)  I made this fall wreath before our weekends started getting busy with football games.

This wreath cost me a total of $8 and I will get a good 3 months use out of it!

Rustic Wood Sign

God has granted my grandpa with the gift of wood working.  He receives requests from people at a faster pace he can build items.  Let's just say, family is last on his list :)

He continually has wood he isn't using and I am snatching it up to make wood signs!

Romantic Rustic Wedding

This past weekend I had the opportunity to coordinate a wedding for a Bride in Ankeny.  When sitting down at a  consultant meeting with brides, I like to find what kind of theme they want for their wedding.  You can have elegant, romantic, vintage, rustic, bohemian, etc. or you can have a combination between all those.  After throwing out some of those words at our initial meeting we decided on a romantic rustic wedding theme.  Her husband loves to hunt, and Dana wanted a romantic wedding.

I hope you enjoy this romantic rustic wedding as much as I did planning it!

Happy 1st Anniversary to my husband!

This past weekend Matthew and I got to celebrate our anniversary on the Plaza in Kansas City.  It was a get away and the best thing about it was I got to shop, dine & enjoy the weather with my best friend.  Here's a recap of the best year I've ever had!

Vintage Clock

A few months ago Matthew and I were on a mission to make a clock.  I thought this process was going to be easy, painless & of course go as smoothly as all the blog posts I read.  However, it took a little more time, patience and a lot of work from my husband and his tools.

Mason Jar Soap Dispenser

A few weeks ago I found a mason jar soap dispenser I loved.  After ordering the parts and having them sit at home until after our Easter festivities were over, I finally put them together.  I wanted something I could display my Bath & Body Works soap in that I hoard during Christmas and Summer!

Cheap Ways to Decorate for Spring!

Hi All!  It's finally a beautiful Spring day in Iowa, I never thought it was going to come!  Spring and Easter are in the air so I thought I'd show you a cheap and easy way to decorate for Easter.  Enjoy!

Homemade Healthy Granola

This past weekend was a crazy weekend for us.  We had the pleasure of attending the 8th grade retreat with 400 8th graders from our church.  When we got home, we ran to the grocery store and I picked up some awesome Chobani Greek yogurt.  I am hooked on it!  It’s my breakfast in the morning or snack in the afternoon.  I use the plain yogurt for everything, recipes, sour cream, ranch dressing, etc.  But, I am also in love with all their awesome flavors!

Jewelry Holder

Hi all you jewelry lovers out there!

On my last post I showed you how we made a DIY headboard for $3.00!  That same day, while Matthew had out all his tools we also made a jewelry holder for my necklaces.  Right now, while we are renting we don't have the option to tear our walls to make our closet larger so we are being creative in organizing and saving space.  Last mother's day I made my mom a necklace holder similar, because hers was beyond hope.  That was my inspiration for mine....Enjoy!

Vintage Headboard- $3!

Happy Sunday bloggers!

This past weekend Matthew and I finally had the time to accomplish a headboard for our guest bedroom.  I have been waiting for a long time to find something that was different and vintage.  I wanted something cost efficient but wasn't so large I couldn't decorate around it.  I hope you enjoy our weekend project!

Spring Wreath

Happy Sunday All!  It's a gross icy day in Iowa but my mind is at spring.  my favorite time of the year!  It's where I see God's presence the most, in the trees blooming, the flowers breaking through the ground, my birthday and our anniversary!  To help get me through the cold weather I decided to repurpose an old wreath my grandma had.  She didn't use it anymore and wanted something fun.  I had so much fun with this and it took me a few hours to make.

Homemade Doggy Treats!

This week we are dog sitting my sisters 3 month old golden lab....She is so precious!  Even when she's naughty she's still precious.  Deanna (my sister) made her homemade treats but I forgot one bag while I was visiting my mom, so I decided to make my own for her... She loves them so much, I even taught her a new trick with it!

Dry Nails With Pam!

I think every girl has dreaded painting their nails. Of course, you get the beautiful result and don't get me wrong, I never go out without painted nails, it's sort of an obsession (I have 20+ bottles of nail polish).  I love perfect manicured nails, but I really don't need to go to the nail salon every 2 weeks to get a shellac manicure.
